Silver for Nishchal Chand
in Under-19 Boys’ Singles at Junior International Grand Prix 2026
Centre for Badminton Excellence trainee Nishchal Chand secured the Silver Medal in the Under-19 Boys’ Singles category at the Junior International Grand Prix 2026, held in Pune from 25 to 30 August 2026.
The 17-year-old from Uttarakhand produced a strong run through the tournament to reach the final, where he faced fellow Indian Dev Ruparelia.
In the title clash, Nishchal fought hard but went down in straight games, 16-21, 16-21, to finish as runner-up.
The silver medal marks another encouraging result in Nishchal’s development and adds valuable competitive experience as he continues to progress at the junior international level.
