Young CBE Shuttlers Shine
at All-India U-13 Ranking Badminton Tournament in Kolkata
Young trainees delivered a strong set of performances at the All-India Sub Junior (U-13) Ranking Badminton Tournament 2026, held in Kolkata from 11 to 16 September 2026, finishing the competition with an impressive haul of four gold medals and one silver medal across singles and doubles events.
Lyosha Korukonda, 12, from Telangana enjoyed an outstanding tournament, winning two gold medals. She emerged champion in the Under-13 Girls’ Singles and followed it up with another gold in the Under-13 Girls’ Doubles, completing a memorable campaign in Kolkata.
In the boys’ competition, Sarthak Joshi, 12, from Uttarakhand claimed the Under-13 Boys’ Singles gold medal. Dudekula Rehaan, 12, from Andhra Pradesh also produced an impressive run in the same event, finishing with the silver medal.
Sarthak and Rehaan then joined forces in the Under-13 Boys’ Doubles, where they went on to secure the gold medal. Their doubles victory brought the tournament to a successful close and added another title to the overall medal tally.
With podium finishes across both singles and doubles, the tournament was an encouraging outing for the young players and an important step in their competitive journeys.
